George Conway, who is married to White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, responded Friday on Twitter after President Donald Trump said in a television interview that his wife “is very smart” and he admires her.
In a tweet directed at the president’s son Eric Trump, George Conway tweeted:
“I’m sure @EricTrump is glad for every woman whose career he has advanced. He just doesn’t care to extend the same courtesy to those women who might disagree with him.”
Conway, a prominent lawyer and critic of the administration, has repeatedly clashed with the president. Last week, the couple publicly feuded over the issue of pardons during an appearance on Fox News. Kellyanne Conway told host Chris Wallace she had never discussed pardoning anyone in private conversations with the president but made it clear that was not how she would conduct herself if asked.
