Chulu Far East peak climbing itinerary

by Aqib

Chulu Far East Peak is one of Nepal’s best moderate climbing peaks.

During the Annapurna circuit trek, Chulu far east peak offers an excellent and charming view, making it the ideal height for those seeking to extend their Himalayan climbing experience. In terms of difficulty, the Chulu Far East Peak, at 6059 meters, is the easiest of the three Chulu Peaks. To add to the adventure, the typical expedition to this peak includes the popular Thorang La pass. Of the three Chulu peaks, 6059 meters above sea level is the most accessible. A grueling climb can be undertaken from base camp or from high camp in order to reach the summit. To reach the col at 5500m, there is a steep walk in snow. On steeper sections, ropes will be fixed by climbing Sherpas. Just below the summit ridge, there is a small sac. There is a great deal of exposure on the summit. As with Chulu East Peak, the view is similar.

The Chulu Far East peak climbing itinerary starts with the classic Annapurna Circuit trail, ascending the gorgeous Marsyangdi Valley, discovering Nepal, Chamje, Jagat, Dharapani, Chame, Pisang, and Ngawel, and the old village of Manang along the way.

Ngawel village offers the best views of Annapurna 3, Annapurna 4, Gangapurna, and Annapurna 1. The trail to Pisang leaves the main circuit. After Pisang, we head off towards the Chulu far east peak. In this area, substantial glacial moraines have formed fantastic rock pillars above the Marsyangdi River.

A Chulu Peak base camp and high camp will be set up before our summit, the village so that we can climb Chulu Far East. Sherpas will fix ropes for the steep sections and lead you slowly to the summit. It is also close to Chulu far east, but its climb is more challenging, and it must be accessed from Yak kharka Manang.

A breathtaking view of the Himalayas can be seen from the Chulu Far East peak, including Annapurna, Tilicho peak, Pisang peak, Gangapurna Manaslu, Mustang valley, and Dhaulagiri. The trails descend back to Ngawal village and Manang and then cross the Thorong La pass after summiting the peak.

Muktinath is a pilgrimage town in the Mustang district. Hindus and Buddhist pilgrims from Nepal, India, and Tibet visit Muktinath on pilgrimage; this climbing trip ends at Jomsom and is a spectacular flight to Pokhara. From the window, you can see Kali Gandaki, Dhaulagiri Himal Valley, Annapurna, Nilgiri Himal, and the Dhaulagiri Himal range.
